
The Oceanological Observatory of Banyuls-sur-Mer welcomes teachers and students from French and foreign universities all year round for internships to study biodiversity and marine and terrestrial ecosystems but also on a variety of other scientific topics...
The practice rooms are all supplied with seawater and are equipped with teaching materials for observation.
The Observatory also provides other support services for the organization of training courses.

- Check availability with the reception service. Residence schedules can be made 1 year in advance.
If you're an intern
An application for residence must be sent to the attention of the Director of the Observatory, Mr Yves Desdevises.
To be welcomed at the Observatory, after acceptance of your internship in a research team, it is essential to have a residence permit signed by the Director of the Observatory. The residence permit will be issued to you after reception at the Observatory of the signed internship agreement.
It is advisable to book your room quickly with the reception service as soon as you have accepted your stay at the Observatory.
On arrival, you will have to report to the reception service located on the ground floor of the accommodation centre during opening hours for the handing-over of the room keys and your access badge or on Monday mornings from 8:00 am for weekend arrivals.
Methods of payment
Payments must be made:
- on site by credit card or cash,
- on invoice (order form to be provided before your arrival).
Single night stays must be paid on site.
